- Madhuvanam was founded by Sri.Krishnan Kartha in 1989 under the instructions of his Master, Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who gave 49 personal audiences to him and his group of spiritual aspirants associated themselves in 1988. Madhuvanam is engaged in rural welfare, medical and educational activities from 1990 onwards.Madhuvan Sai Vidyashram School established by Madhuvan Sai Vidyashram Trust provides scholarship for free ICSE education for 100 students out of the total strength. Free tailoring training institute for rural women, free computer institute for rural women are some of the activities there taken up by the at Madhuvan Mahila udyog Vikas Manch. Bi monthly speciality medical camps are organised here for free doagnosis and follow up treament of villagers. Madhuvan Sai Vidyashram Centre for Human excellence provides training and research fecilities on India's rich cultural heritage, in theatre, music and art. Madhuvanam is not associated or affilliated to any spiritual or socio-political organisations and solely self funded and managed.
